Delete Your Account

App: Flowers · Operator: Flower Dg · Last updated: 5 May 2026

This page explains how to permanently delete your Flowers account and what data is removed or retained. There are two ways to do it: from inside the app, or by email. Both produce the same result.

Option 1 — Delete from inside the app

  1. Open the Flowers app on your phone.
  2. Tap the Profile tab (right-most tab, person icon).
  3. Scroll to the Account section near the bottom.
  4. Tap Delete Account.
  5. Confirm in the dialog. Your account and all associated data are deleted immediately.

This option requires that you are signed in with Google or Apple. If you have never signed in (local-only mode), there is no account on our servers — uninstalling the app removes everything.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

  1. Email [email protected].
  2. Include the email address associated with your Google or Apple sign-in.
  3. We verify ownership and process the request within 30 days, usually sooner.

What is deleted

When your account is deleted, the following is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days (60 days inclusive of backup propagation):

Deleted immediately

User profile (display name, sign-in email)
Garden data (flowers, pots, bouquets, settings)
Couple data — shared memories, prompt answers, "bids for connection", appreciations, weekly check-ins, locket photos, scratchpad, thumb-kiss events. Your partner is unpaired automatically.
Gifts you created and any associated photos. Existing gift links stop resolving.
Focus sessions (as host or participant)
Push notification tokens
Gardener profile (location-anonymized geohash)
Pair invite codes
Poem submissions

Retained, with reason

Firebase Auth record (UID + provider) — kept for fraud prevention and refund handling. Contains no user content.
Anonymized analytics linked only to a per-install ID (no email, no name) — kept up to 12 months in aggregate form for product analytics.
Refund audit records (only if you previously requested a refund) — small tombstone (event ID + UID + timestamp) for accounting and to prevent reprocessing. Required by store policy.

Retention period for residual records

Aggregated analytics and refund audit records described above are retained as noted. Backups of Firestore are rolling 7-day point-in-time snapshots; deleted data is purged from those backups within 30 days of the deletion request.

Refund-triggered deletion

If you request and receive a refund for a Flowers subscription or in-app purchase, all content you created while that purchase was active is deleted automatically by our refund webhook. This is a separate path and does not require a manual request. For details see Section 7 of our Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use.
